Clause 75

Amendment of Seventh Schedule

The Seventh Schedule to the Supreme Court of Judicature Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (3) of paragraph 1, the following sub‑paragraph:“(4) Despite section 32(1), the Appellate Division consisting of a single Judge or 2 Judges may hear and decide any of the following:

(a)

an application by the Attorney‑General for permission to intervene under section 4A(1) of the Attorney‑General (Additional Functions) Act in any proceedings in the Appellate Division;

(b)

an application to set aside the order granting permission to the Attorney‑General to intervene made under section 4A(7) of the Attorney‑General (Additional Functions) Act.”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (3) of paragraph 3, the following sub‑paragraph:“(4) Despite section 50(1), the Court of Appeal consisting of a single Judge or 2 Judges may hear and decide any of the following:

(a)

an application by the Attorney‑General for permission to intervene under section 4A(1) of the Attorney‑General (Additional Functions) Act in any proceedings in the Court of Appeal;

(b)

an application to set aside the order granting permission to the Attorney‑General to intervene made under section 4A(7) of the Attorney‑General (Additional Functions) Act.”.
