This Act may be cited as the Broadcasting and Television (Amendment) Act, 1975.

Clause 2

Amendment of section 3

Section 3 of the Broadcasting and Television Act is hereby amended —

(a)

by renumbering the section as subsection (1); and

(b)

by inserting immediately thereafter the following new subsection: —“(2) The Government and any employee thereof shall not be liable for any loss or damage sustained by any person as a result of any error, omission or inaccuracy in any broadcast matter transmitted under subsection (1) of this section, whether or not such error, omission or inaccuracy is caused by the fault of the Government or an employee thereof.”.
