Amendment of section 5
Section 5 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting paragraphs (a) and (b) of subsection (1) and substituting the following paragraphs:“(a)the plans of the building works have been approved by the Commissioner of Building Control under section 6; and
(b)
in the case of structural works, there is in force a permit granted by the Commissioner of Building Control under section 7 to carry out the structural works.”;
(b)
by deleting subsection (2); and
(c)
by deleting “$50,000” in subsection (3) and substituting “$100,000”.
