Notification for certain major alteration or replacement works, etc.
Subregulation 1
An owner of a fixed installation must ensure that no fixed installation works specified in the third column of the First Schedule are carried out on the fixed installation unless the owner has notified the Commissioner of Building Control in writing of the intended works.
Subregulation 2
A person must not carry out any of those fixed installation works on a fixed installation unless the person is a fixed installation works contractor.
Subregulation 3
Any person who contravenes paragraph (1) or (2) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
