Amendment of section 48
Section 48 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “within 7 days” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “not later than the 7th day”; and
(b)
by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) Any person who, without reasonable excuse, contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.”.
