Regulation 6
Withdrawal from medisave account to pay supplement premium
Subregulation 1
The Board must not pay to an approved insurer any amount authorised to be withdrawn from a CPF member’s medisave account under regulation 5 in payment of a supplement premium, unless the approved insurer gives written notice to the Board that such payment is due.
Subregulation 2
The Board must pay to the approved insurer the amount authorised to be withdrawn in payment of the supplement premium payable by the CPF member or the CPF member’s dependant, as the case may be.
Subregulation 3
If the amount standing to the credit of the CPF member in his or her medisave account is insufficient to pay any net premium due by the CPF member or the CPF member’s dependant —
the Board must notify the approved insurer of the insufficiency; and
the approved insurer may, after being so notified, determine the manner in which any deficiency in the premium is to be paid.
