Repeal and re-enactment of section 45
Section 45 of the principal Act is repealed and the following section substituted therefor:“Maximum age limit for detention in place of detention, approved home or approved school
45. Subject to section 74 —
(a)
no person shall be detained in a place of detention after he has attained the age of 18 years; and
(b)
no person shall be detained in an approved school or an approved home after he has attained the age of 19 years.”.
