Regulations
(1)
The Minister may make regulations for carrying out the purposes of this Act and for any matter which is required under this Act to be prescribed.
(2)
Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), the Minister may make regulations for all or any of the following matters:
the care, maintenance and education of children and young persons committed to the care, custody or control of any person under the provisions of this Act and the duties of persons to whose care, custody or control the children and young persons have been committed;
the care, detention, temporary absence, maintenance, education, and conduct and discipline of children and young persons in remand homes, places of detention and places of safety;
the constitution, functions and procedures of a board of visitors and an advisory board;
the inspection of approved schools, approved homes, remand homes, places of detention and places of safety and returns to be furnished by persons in charge of such places; and
the management of remand homes, places of detention and places of safety and the conduct and discipline of persons detained in such places.
