Commissioner of Chit Funds

Clause 3
(1)
For the purposes of this Act there shall be a Commissioner of Chit Funds who shall be appointed by the Minister.
(2)
The Commissioner shall be charged with the general administration of this Act and the exercise of the functions imposed upon him by this Act.
(3)
The Commissioner may authorise or appoint any person to assist him in the exercise of his functions and duties under this Act, either generally or in any particular way.
(4)
The Commissioner and any person authorised or appointed by him pursuant to subsection (3) of this section shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of the Penal Code (Cap. 103).
