Clause 43

Transitional provisions

(1)

Any scheme, contract, document, licence, permission or resolution prepared, made, granted or approved by or on behalf of the Department of Civil Aviation shall, except as otherwise expressly provided in this Act or in any other written law, continue and be deemed to have been prepared, made, granted or approved by the Authority under this Act.

(2)

All obligations and liabilities of the Department of Civil Aviation immediately before the appointed day shall as from that date be the obligations and liabilities of the Authority and the Authority shall have all necessary powers to discharge them.

(3)

Where anything has been commenced by or on behalf of the Department of Civil Aviation before the appointed day, such thing may be carried on and completed by or under the authority of the Authority.

(4)

In any written law and in any document, unless the context otherwise requires, any reference to the Director of Civil Aviation or the Department of Civil Aviation shall be construed as a reference to the Authority.
