Amendment of section 56

Section 56 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting “50” in subsection (1) and substituting “30”; and

(b)

by deleting subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection:“(2) If a quorum is not present within 30 minutes after the time fixed for a general meeting, the members or delegates present shall form a quorum, except that —

(a)

a general meeting with such reduced quorum shall not have the power to amend the by-laws; and

(b)

any resolution passed at the meeting shall not be valid unless it is passed with a majority of two-thirds of the members or delegates present.”.
