Amendment of section 175
Section 175 of the Companies Act is amended by deleting subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection:“(2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), the Registrar may extend the period of 15 months or 18 months referred to in that subsection, notwithstanding that the period is so extended beyond the calendar year —
(a)
upon an application by the company, if the Registrar thinks there are special reasons to do so; or
(b)
in respect of any prescribed class of companies.”.
