Regulation 3

Register and special identity card

When a person is directed to be subject to the supervision of the police under section 30(1)(b) or 32(1) of the Act, the Commissioner of Police or any police officer duly authorised by him may —

(a)

enter the name of that person in a register maintained for the purpose by the police; and

(b)

take possession of the original identity card of that person and shall send that original identity card together with a request to the Commissioner to issue a special identity card to replace the original identity card. Such special identity card shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of the National Registration Regulations (Cap. 201, Rg 2), and subject to such other directions as the Minister may from time to time issue.
