Clause 13
Section 180 of the Code is hereby amended by inserting immediately after subsection (2) thereof the following new subsection: —“(3) A person who has not given evidence at a preliminary inquiry shall not be called as a witness by the prosecution at any trial before the verdict is given, unless the accused person or his advocate and the Registrar have been previously served with a notice in writing of the intention to call such person stating the person’s name and address and the substance of the evidence intended to be given.”.
