Amendment of section 304
In the Code, in section 304 —
(a)
in subsections (1)(a) and (2)(a), after “2 years or more”, insert “(being an offence that was committed before the date of commencement of section 35 of the Criminal Procedure (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2024)”;
(b)
in subsections (1)(b) and (2)(b), after “distinct offences punishable with imprisonment for 2 years or more”, insert “(being offences that were committed before the date of commencement of section 35 of the Criminal Procedure (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2024)”; and
(c)
in subsection (6), replace “with the regulations made under section 428” with “with the regulations made under section 84(1) of the Prisons Act 1933”.
