Exemption from section 34(1) of Act

Section 34(1) of the Act does not apply to any biodiesel blend in any of the following circumstances:

(a)

the biodiesel blend is for use in the propulsion of a motor vehicle and is carried —

(i)

in a fuel supply tank of the motor vehicle; or

(ii)

in a spare container of the motor vehicle in an amount not exceeding 10 litres;

(b)

the biodiesel blend is for use in the propulsion of an aircraft and is carried in the fuel supply tank of the aircraft;

(c)

the biodiesel blend is for use in the propulsion of a vessel and is carried in the fuel supply tank of the vessel.
