Amendment of section 17

Section 17(1) of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “produce any permit” and substituting the words “produce any document”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the word “false” in paragraph (a), the words “or misleading”; and

(c)

by deleting paragraph (b) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)produces any document which the person knows or has reason to believe —

(i)

is false or misleading in any material particular;

(ii)

has not been given by the person by whom it is purported to have been given; or

(iii)

contains any unauthorised alteration or has been tampered with in any way,”.
