Clause 110

Protection from personal liability

(1)

No matter or thing done and no contract of any kind entered into by the Minister, the Authority, the Commissioner or any Medical Officer of Health or Public Health Engineer and no matter or thing done by any public health auxiliary or any other person whomsoever employed in the administration of this Act or acting under the direction of the Minister, the Commissioner or any Medical Officer of Health, Public Health Engineer or public health auxiliary shall, if the matter or thing was done or the contract was entered into bona fide for the purpose of executing the provisions of this Act or any regulations made thereunder, subject them or any of them personally to any action, liability, claim or demand whatsoever.

(2)

Any expense incurred by any of the aforesaid acting in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of this section shall be borne by the Government.
