This Act may be cited as the Finance (Amendment) Act 1985 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 1985.

Amendment of section 5

Section 5 of the Finance Act is amended by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:“(1) Payroll tax shall be levied at such rate as the Minister may by order from time to time prescribe on the payroll of an employer for each month.”.
