Section 43 of the principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) The Commissioner may recover as a debt due to the Government, from the classes of prescribed persons mentioned in subsection (1), the reasonable costs and expenses of investigating a fire mentioned in that subsection, including charges for any laboratory analysis.”.
