Regulation 20
Non-compliance with approved drinking water quality management plan
Subregulation 1
A WQMP water provider must not provide a drinking water service except in compliance with an approved drinking water quality management plan applicable to that drinking water service.
Subregulation 2
A WQMP water provider who contravenes paragraph (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $1,000 for every day or part of a day during which the offence continues after conviction.
Subregulation 3
Strict liability applies to the offence in paragraph (2).
