Clause 94

Suspension or cancellation, etc., of approved game, etc.

Subject to section 95, the Authority may cancel (without any compensation) any approval granted under section 70 to a licensee in respect of —

(a)

any race, competition, sporting event or other event or process the outcome of which bets are or are likely to be received, accepted or negotiated on in the course of a betting operation;

(b)

the rules of betting for any of the following activities:

(i)

placing, making, receiving, accepting or negotiating of any bets;

(ii)

operating a betting exchange or betting information centre; (iii)operating a totalisator;

(iv)

organising pool betting;

(c)

a game of chance; (d)the content of rules of a game of chance; (e)a lottery;

(f)

the content of the rules of a lottery, if the Authority is satisfied that —

(g)

the licensee is contravening or not complying with, or has contravened or failed to comply with any condition of the approval granted to the licensee;

(h)

the conditions of the approval granted to the licensee are not stringent enough to prevent cheating or other contravention of any provision of this Act; (i)compliance with the conditions of the approval cannot be effectively monitored or enforced; or

(j)

the approval had been obtained by the licensee by fraud or misrepresentation.
