Subregulation 1
Except as provided in this regulation, a licensee must not appoint any person to provide, on the licensee’s behalf, a blood banking service or any aspect of the blood banking service.
Subregulation 2
A licensee may appoint any person to conduct any of the following activities on the licensee’s behalf:
the pre‑donation counselling, or assessment of the suitability, of any potential donor of blood or blood components;
the collection of blood or blood components from any donor;
the distribution of blood or blood components.
Subregulation 3
To avoid doubt, a licensee who appoints another person to provide, on the licensee’s behalf, any activity under paragraph (2) remains responsible to comply with the licence conditions imposed on and the duties of a licensee under the Act, these Regulations and any other regulations made under the Act.
