Clause 5

Amendment of section 21

Section 21(2) of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “; and” at the end of paragraph (b) and substituting the words “, and any other committee for purposes relating to the welfare and protection of organ donors and their families;”; and

(b)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of paragraph (c) and substituting the word “; and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:“(d)the regulation of organ transplant arrangements, the regulation or administration of payment of costs, expenses and loss of earnings in relation to the removal of any organ for the purpose of transplantation, and the operation of schemes granting medical benefits or privileges under section 14(3).”.
