Amendment of section 33

Section 33 of the Immigration Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsections:“(3) An appeal under subsection (2) shall not operate as a stay of execution of any order of removal under subsection (1).(4) Where an order of removal under subsection (1) has been made in respect of any person, any permit, certificate or pass to enter or remain in Singapore issued to him under this Act or the regulations shall cease to be valid.(5) Nothing in this Part or the regulations shall require the Minister, the Controller or any other public servant to disclose any fact, produce any document or assign any reason for the making of any removal order under this Part which he considers it to be against the public interest to do so.”.
