Amendment of section 55

Section 55(1) of the Immigration Act is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph (g), the following paragraph:“(ga)providing for the taking and recording of finger impressions of —

(i)

any person who applies or has been issued with a pass or permit; and

(ii)

any person suspected of having acted in contravention of section 6(1), 15 or 36 or the regulations,and of the dissemination of such record to the police.”.
