Clause 17

Section 108 of the Patents Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) Without affecting subsection (1), the Registrar may, on his or her own initiative, publish or communicate any information or documents relating to an application for a patent published in accordance with section 27 or relating to any patent granted pursuant to such application, subject to any prescribed restriction.”.
