Clause 24

Section 24 of the Plant Varieties Protection Act is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (3), the following subsection:“(4) A late fee of a prescribed amount may be imposed by rules made under this Act for the payment of the annual fee within the prescribed period but after the anniversary of the date of grant of protection where the anniversary is the first day of the one year period for which the annual fee is payable, in prescribed circumstances.”.
