Replacement of rule 87

Regulation 2
In the Internal Security (Detained Persons) Rules (R 1), replace rule 87 with —“Rules not to apply to detained persons in lock-ups87.—
(1)
If the place of detention of a detained person is —
(a)
a lock-up appointed under section 4 of the Prisons Act 1933; or
(b)
a temporary lock‑up appointed under section 4(1A) of that Act,these Rules do not apply to, or in relation to, the detained person or the lock-up.
(2)
To avoid doubt, the Prisons (Police Lock‑ups and Temporary Lock-ups) Regulations 2013 (G.N. No. S 684/2013) apply to, or in relation to, the detained person and the lock‑up mentioned in paragraph (1).”.
