Regulation 23

Detained person’s complaints, etc.

The Superintendent of a place of detention must —

(a)

ensure that —

(i)

a detained person in the place of detention who has any complaint or application to make in relation to the place of detention or the treatment or safety of a detained person in the place of detention, is allowed to make the complaint or application; and

(ii)

the instructions of a medical officer for the place of detention are carried into effect; and

(b)

pay special attention to a detained person who is in hospital or undergoing punishment.
