Regulation 4

Allowance to officers retiring by reason of injury sustained

Subject as hereinafter provided, any officer to whom these Regulations apply and who retires by reason of his injury may be granted —

(a)

if he is serving in an office which is not a pensionable office or if he is serving in a pensionable office but is not eligible for a pension in respect of his service, an annual allowance according to the degree of impairment in his capacity to contribute to his support, not exceeding the proportion, specified in the Table contained in the First Schedule, of his annual salary at the date of his injury; and

(b)

if he is serving in a pensionable office and is eligible for a pension in respect of his service, an annual allowance according to the degree of impairment of his capacity to contribute to his support, not exceeding the proportion, specified in the Table contained in the First Schedule, of his annual pensionable emoluments at the date of his injury.
