Clause 2

Section 51 of the Legal Profession Act (referred to in this Act as the principal Act) is amended by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection:“(2A) A member who has been struck off the roll or suspended from practice for a period of 6 months or more or has been convicted of an offence involving fraud or dishonesty shall not be eligible for election as a member of the Council.”.
