Amendment of section 83
Section 83 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “two years” in subsection (1) and substituting the words “5 years”;
(b)
by deleting the words “in the opinion of the court” in paragraphs (b) and (j) of subsection (2); and
(c)
by deleting paragraph (h) of subsection (2) and substituting the following paragraph:“(h)has been guilty of such misconduct unbefitting an advocate and solicitor as an officer of the Supreme Court or as a member of an honourable profession;”.
