Clause 12

by inserting, immediately after the word “partnership” in the 3rd line of subsection (1), the words “(whether in a law firm or a limited liability law partnership)”;

by inserting, immediately after the words “law corporation” in subsection (1)(b), the words “or a limited liability law partnership”; and

by inserting, immediately after subsection (4), the following subsection:“(4A) Subsection (1) shall not apply to a solicitor who is a partner of a limited liability law partnership if at least one of the partners of that limited liability law partnership is a solicitor who has been in active practice in Singapore for not less than 3 continuous years or 3 years out of a continuous period of 5 years.”.
