Regulation 2
The Minister for Transport assigns to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore the function of being the authority of Singapore responsible for —
(a)
implementing the Guidelines on Voluntary Pilotage Services in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore adopted by the Tripartite Technical Experts Group of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore;
(b)
certifying persons eligible under those Guidelines to provide pilotage services in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore; and
(c)
exercising disciplinary control over persons certified to provide pilotage services in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore.
