Clause 12

Saving and transitional provisions

(1)

Despite sections 2(a) and (c), 3 and 4, section 3 of the principal Act as in force immediately before the date of commencement of those sections (called in this subsection the relevant date) continues to apply to and in relation to any approved medical treatment or services received by an insured person before the relevant date in an approved medical institution (as defined in section 2(1) of the principal Act as in force immediately before the relevant date) as if those sections had not been enacted.

(2)

For a period of 2 years after the date of commencement of any provision of this Act, the Minister may, by regulations, prescribe such additional provisions of a saving or transitional nature consequent on the enactment of that provision as the Minister may consider necessary or expedient.
