Regulation 11
Duration of certificates
Subregulation 1
Subject to paragraph (2), a certificate issued under regulation 10 shall be valid for a period not exceeding 12 months.
Subregulation 2
The Director may extend the period of validity of a certificate issued under regulation 10 for a period not exceeding one month.
Subregulation 3
Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2), an Exemption Certificate of a ship shall not be valid for a period longer than the validity of its Safety Certificate.
Subregulation 4
The Director may cancel a certificate issued under regulation 10 if he has reason to believe that since the survey, the hull, equipment or machinery of the ship has sustained damage or the ship has not complied with these Regulations.
