Clause 1

Short title and commencement

This Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Pensions (Abolition) Act 2012 and shall, with the exception of sections 7 and 8 and the Schedule, be deemed to have come into operation on 21st May 2011.(2) Sections 7 and 8 and the Schedule shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.
