Period for filing request for search report

The period prescribed for filing a request for a search report under section 29(1)(a) shall be —
(a)
if the application contains no declared priority date, 13 months from the date of filing; or
(b)
if the application contains a declared priority date, 13 months from the declared priority date.

Notwithstanding paragraph (1), where a new application is filed under section 20(3), 26(11) or 47(4), as the case may be, the period prescribed for filing a request for a search report under section 29(1)(a) shall be 13 months from the actual date of filing of the new application.
