Amendment of section 8
of Postal Services (Amendment) Bill

Clause 7
Section 8 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by deleting the words “public postal licensee” in subsections (2) and (5)(b) and substituting in each case the words “postal licensee”;
(b)
by deleting the words “and the compensation payable for any damage caused thereby; and” in subsection (2)(a) and substituting a semi-colon;
(c)
by inserting, immediately after paragraph (a) of subsection (2), the following paragraph:“(aa)stating the compensation payable for any damage caused by the modifications proposed, where the postal licensee is a public postal licensee; and”;
(d)
by deleting subsection (4); and
(e)
by deleting the words “subsection (4)” in subsection (5)(a) and substituting the words “section 56”.
