Clause 11

Amendment of section 17

Section 17 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “Any Licensing Officer or” and substituting the words “The Licensing Officer or any”; and

(b)

by renumbering the section as subsection (1) of that section, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection:“(2) Nothing in this section or section 17A, 17B or 18 shall derogate from the powers of a police officer under the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68).”.
