Clause 28
Power to require reasons for entry to special event area
(1)
A police officer or an approved person may ask an entrant to a special event area to state the person’s name and residence and his reason for being in, or about to enter, the area.
(2)
If the person fails to comply with the request of a police officer or an approved person under subsection (1), the person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
(3)
In this section, “residence”, in relation to a person, means the address of the place where the person usually lives in Singapore.
