Clause 10

Section 107 of the principal Act is amended by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following subsection:“(3) Notwithstanding subsection (2), any person who, in the course of carrying out any earthworks, damages or suffers to be damaged any high voltage electricity cable in the transmission network belonging to or under the management or control of a public electricity licensee shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1 million or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or to both.”.
