Clause 35

Transitional provision

Notwithstanding anything in this Act, a person who, immediately before the date of commencement of this Act —

(a)

was keeping or has in his possession or under his control any radioactive material or irradiating apparatus;

(b)

was manufacturing, selling, dealing in any radioactive material or irradiating apparatus; or

(c)

using any radioactive material or irradiating apparatus for any purpose,and is not disqualified from holding a licence if an application was made in respect thereof, he shall be entitled to do the same without a licence —

(d)

for the period of one month beginning from the date of commencement of this Act; and

(e)

if before the expiration of that period he applies for a licence in respect of the same, until the licence is granted, or finally refused or the application withdrawn.
