Clause 11

No person shall, except with the prior approval in writing of the Director-General and in accordance with such conditions, limitations and exceptions as may be specified by the Director-General, dispose of or cause to be disposed of any radioactive waste.

Any person who, without reasonable excuse, contravenes subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
