Amendment of section 9

Section 9 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “for a period of one year from the date of issue” in subsection (2); and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (2), the following subsection: —“(3) A work permit issued to an employee or a contract worker shall be valid for the period specified in the work permit unless it is cancelled by the Commissioner.”.
