Clause 2

Section 2(1) of the Road Traffic Act (referred to in this Act as the principal Act) is amended by inserting, immediately after the definition of “police officer”, the following definition:“ “public place” means any place or premises, whether privately owned or not, to which the general public or any section of the general public is permitted to have access, whether on payment or otherwise;”.
