Regulation 3

for any specified diesel taxi, for a period of one year starting on the date of renewal; or

for any specified hybrid taxi, for a period of 2 years starting on the date of renewal,if the following conditions are satisfied prior to the expiry of the term of the certificate of entitlement for the specified diesel taxi or specified hybrid taxi (as the case may be):

the additional quota premium in respect of the specified diesel taxi or specified hybrid taxi is paid to the Registrar;

the specified diesel taxi or specified hybrid taxi is submitted for examination in accordance with the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Test) Rules (R 21) and a test certificate is issued in respect of the specified diesel taxi or specified hybrid taxi under rule 10(1)(a) of those Rules.
