Amendment of section 67
of Singapore Armed Forces (Amendment) Bill

Clause 8
Section 67 of the principal Act is amended —
(a)
by inserting, immediately after the words “a superior commander” in the first line, the words “or the Chief of Defence Force”; and
(b)
by deleting paragraph (b) and substituting the following paragraph:“(b)with the approval of the Armed Forces Council, direct that the charge be tried by —
(i)
in the case of a charge referred to him by a superior commander, the superior commander, the senior disciplinary officer or any other superior commander or senior disciplinary officer; and
(ii)
in the case of a charge referred to him by the Chief of Defence Force, the Chief of Defence Force; or”.
