Regulation 53
Petitions
Subregulation 1
An accused who has been —
(a)
sentenced by a court; or
(b)
found by a court to be —
(i)
unfit to stand trial; or
(ii)
not guilty by reason of insanity,shall, if he wishes to petition against the finding or sentence or both, present a petition to the reviewing authority in the form set out in the Eighth Schedule.
Subregulation 2
A petition shall be presented within 14 days after the date on which the decision petitioned against was given.
